new to comanche's

ok so i'm planning on buying this sweet little comanche for $1100, it's 4cyl 4speed with a little over 200k on it. i didn't really see any rust on it and it seems to be in decent shape besides the fact that someone painted it flat black.

it's 2wd and i of course want to do the 4wd swap in time but for now i just want it to be a daily driver.

i'm also really interested in swapping to a 97+ front end.

any tips/suggestions i would like to hear. i can't wait to get this thing

1. drive it BEFORE you buy it
2. does everything work?
3. how does it shift?
4. check for frame rust
5. throughly check the engine bay for leaks (oil, coolant, etc) if it looks too clean, the guy might be trying to hide somethin
6. if he says he wants 1100, offer him 950 CASH, people love the green.

and if your gonna swap in a 4wd you might as well swap in an ax-15 tranny as well, just for good measure.

good luck

Also, check for clutch master and slave cylinder leakage.

Get a donor. Much easier than trying to piece it together.

I'm amazed at all the stuff I continue to pull from the donor.

Good Luck with it.
