My first MJ

It's bought my first Jeep and project truck all in one. It's an 89 Comanche 4.0 4x4 with a lot of modifications from the previous owner. Being my first jeep I don't know much about it but can't wait to figure it all out. So far I replaced all the ball joints, axel joints, universal joints, multiple break lines and the ignition switch. None of which I can say went smoothly. Seems like everything on this jeep is going to give me a hard time. Now here comes one of my many problems I found today. It has a Dana 30 front end, what does it have for seals in the axel and how bad is it to replace them? Going to attempt the tie rods tomorrow night, can only imagine how awesome it's going to go...

pictures please..

and yes an MJ is one of those that can give you a very hard time. i suggest you buy a case of PB blaster, impact tools, plastic hammer, and a torch for those really stubborn bolts.

good luck!

i had one, i really loved it, it was the most fun Jeep I've ever owned.

However i would think a beefed up '90 MJ 4.0 4x4 stick would be just as fun if not more

one day!

I'm just thinking it will be smaller and better in the trails. Plus I wanna build my own how I want it, not how the person before had it.

they are certainly better on the trails. I suggest a '95 YJ, those are beast.

i really like trucks tho, i hated having to haul crap in the small bed of the YJ. the MJ I have now was a huge help, especially with towing.

everybody here been pressuring me to sell the truck, idk if I really want to.
