Any ideas where to start?

cruiser54 06-17-2013 07:16 PM

Yes. Learning how to spell Comanche. LOL.

What engine, trans, 4wd?

JerseyHunterRon 06-17-2013 07:26 PM

4 cylinder or 6? What trans?

JerseyHunterRon 06-17-2013 08:05 PM

Straight 6 that's all I know I'm not really mechanically inclined

Is it a manual trans or automatic trans?

JerseyHunterRon 06-17-2013 09:32 PM

It is an automatic

cruiser54 06-17-2013 09:33 PM

I'm starting to feel like a dentist, pulling teeth. LOL.

Great combination and you said NOT 4wd?

Yeah like I said it does not have 4wheel drive. It's a 1987 jeep Comanche, all I know is that it's all original, low miles, a long bed and when I lifted up the carpets before it had low to no rust, the surface has rust ad a dent on the drivers side! But I bout this Comanche for 400 bucks, it runs, but had a dead battery and a flat tire! I'm just looking for some ideas on what to do with it at a low cost!

Excellent find!!

Here's an answer to your request:

Go to the following link. Perform the simple procedures outlined in posts 1,2,3, and 4.

Thank you, but it passed inspection, and is somewhat clean, tomorrow I'll take pictures of the engine and such, I was thinking of wet sanding it down, trying to bang the dent out of the bed, and try to get the dent out of the door, and use the rust oleum spray paint, to save a few hundred bucks on a new hunter orange paint job? Would that be bad?

cruiser54 06-17-2013 10:24 PM

Not sure on the paint. But the recommended electrical issues should be addressed. What's the worst that could happen? Problems could be nipped in the bud, and you'd learn more about your Jeep in the process?

JerseyHunterRon 06-17-2013 10:30 PM

Yeah I hear you, but it doesn't have any electrical issues, but I will follow them steps and do what they were saying about cleaning them all tomorrow after work

cruiser54 06-17-2013 10:35 PM

It's to address known issues and prevent future problems.

JerseyHunterRon 06-17-2013 10:40 PM

Gotcha! Anything else to know about these things! Like any other major known issues they have?

The time now is 01:26 AM.
