Very cool , How much ?

It's going to be somewhere around the price of the XJ DIY Rear. However, we still have a good distance to cover with finalizing the product and such before we can figure out the final pricing and have it ready to sell.

We are targeting to have this first available at an introductory price during our Black Friday Sale. So stay tuned!

What is the gauge of the metal you are using? How is it welded? This is one of the best looking bumpers i have seen yet, very much looking forward to seeing it finalized and priced.

3/16 thick steel. It's welded by the customer ;-) its a DIY! MIG it, TIG, ARC it, whatever you have at your disposal!

Maybe I am wierd but the one thing that I always notice, is what to do for a place for the rear license plate, I agree this bumper looks great, but what about doing a counter sunk? plate braket then droping the hitch reciever below that. My old smitty built bumper has a hitch reciver that is welded to the bottom of the bumper with 2 supporttubes/ braces welded in diaganoly, thats how it came from the company, and I have towed alot with it, and yanked on it pulling people out.

please dont take offense, I like the look of the JCR bumper,
I just wonder what about the license plate? how about a DIY long bed slider??
I still got money set aside for them

The plate can be bolted to one side or the other of the receiver. It can be bent and formed to the bumper, to keep it from hanging up on things.

This bumper is just a platform. With a grinder and some DIY spirit, you can modify or add to it anyway you see fit for your application.

Do these use only use the factory mounting points are does you bumper use more fasteners?

brimy311 01-24-2013 08:57 AM

The bumper connects directly to the rear frame. It uses 3 side bolts and one on the bottom. More info can be found here:
