Depends on what you plan to do with it. Is it for a Comanche or an XJ? My Comanche got a SOA in the rear (cost= new spring pads and me welding them in place plus new longer Ubolts so I could put a fullsize truck swaybar axle mount between the axle and springs to reuse my old shocks still)
Then I moved the brake hose down the bracket for the load level sensor and bypassed the POS that was causing me to have no back brakes. New brake lines on the axle (ones on the frame were nicely NOT rusty!) and I replaced the wheel cylinders with ones from an '84 AMC Eagle (larger bore for more grab)
Front is new lower control arms (wish I'd got the RE ones with a curve to clear my 33" tires!) with 4 1/2" coils, '88 YJ hoses (longer than my stock ones) and home made shock extenders (2 pieces of pipe and exhaust studs threaded in to fit the tops of the old shocks) plus a Rough Country adjustable tracbar. (make sure you get an alignment after so you don't wear down just 1 of your tires like I did)

I have a xj with 4.5 inches of lift. My friend is getting a comanche I think its a 1991 with the 4.o and a 5 speed. He like wants a lift that can clear like 35s how much lift would that be. Where do you guys buy all your lifts from?

thanks

For 35's plan on oing lots of cutting, and going at least 5 or 6" with lots of bumpstopping. Once you get past 3" you get into having to change lots of parts. Personally I am running custom Alcan springs in the rear, chevy Drop shackle in a SOA setup, up front is a Terra Long arm Kit, Rusty's 6.5 coils, RE hd trac bar, with JKS shock conversion, and BPE's. BTW I am running 35's. and I have almost no fender left on the front.

Anyone used or heard anything about BDS Suspension kits?

Here's a link to it http://www.bds-suspension.com/suspen...ems_2jeep.html

I'm interested in the 4.5" kit

Edit: Nevermind, I jumped the gun and didn't search.
