How much should I pay for this '89 MJ?

I am looking at this clean 1989 Comanche and not sure what would be a fair price, since I don't know much about them. Here are the specs:

4x4, 4.0L, 5-speed
144K
stock
new tires and rims
new water pump, alternator, belts and hoses
original paint, interior & exterior very clean

Asking price is $3500

Definitely need pictures. 144k is not exactly low miles, but there not ridiculous either. Unless it is absolute mint 3500 is to steep. Everything about it seems great so far. Have you gotten to see/drive it yet?

I just picked up an 89' Comanche Pioneer for 3,120. Asking price was 3,500, but I talked him down to 3,200, and then he couldn't count so he handed me $80 back. used it to change the oil and spark plugs that he never did. ever.

Anyways it's in good condition. No mechanical issues (yet)
Brand new Dick C's put on a couple months ago, they were like 2k.
He didn't know anything about it, and when I go under it I noticed it had a lift kit, and definitely aftermarket suspension. He could have gotten a lot more then 3,500.


178,000 miles but honestly that's good for any 89' and everyone here knows that that's nothing on a 4.0L

So basically I'd say that 3,500 is fair. Look for what they are selling for in your area. In Arizona Jeeps are really popular, so you're gonna pay more for one than in say, Texas (where they aren't popular.) Also take into consideration that it's 1 year away from becoming a classic. I have an 89' foxbody 5.0 that I've been waiting to hit classic.
Edmonds says that a 90 is worth around 1,800 (depending on model) but it's a rare truck so you're gonna pay almost double.

Mine is going to hit 300,000 miles tomorrow, those 4.0 motors go along way!

Just paid $3, 300 for this 92 with 115k mi. If that helps you at all. I am in oregon and jeeps are pretty popular so I would say the oregon market is higher then average as far as jeeps go.

I u were in canada alberta i got a buddy with a 89 for 350$ runs drives comes with spare motor tranny and xj diffs to go undertneath lol
