Front Springs

my ds front spring it cracked. Im gonna try to get one tonite, is it the same as the xj uses?

everything in front of the fire wall is the same as XJ's. yes they will fit because I've had to do it on mine, they are the exact same

another question; did the the xj use the same springs all the way up to 01?

I'm not 100% sure on that but as far as I know they never really changed anything underneath except for the t-case and axles. Pretty sure everything is the same. Hopefully somebody with a newer XJ will pipe up and shed some light on that question.

Apparently 'up country' XJs came with springs that are an inch taller.


But with sag, it's not going to matter.



When getting springs, try to get a set off a newer XJ, as they'll probbaly have less milage on them and not sag/lean.

Well, it might not even be true. I've never seen it verified. However, there's a XJ in the yard here with longer than normal sway bar links, that just might be the elusive up country. I'd pull the springs, but I don't care that much.
