Door panel madness!

My door panels are in a pretty sad state, not to mention, they don't match the rest of the interior, and I've been trying to take them off for some time, but I can't figure out how to get the window roller upper off. In the Chiltons it looks like it says to just pull it but I don't want to break anything. Anybody know how to get that thing off?

My 89 Mj has the style that just pop off...i usually grab the base of the crank, right where it is connecting to the door with one hand on each side and slowly pull and wiggle back and forth. If you are in a really cold climate you may want to do this after a drive with the heat on so the plastic is warmer and less fragile.

Some of them had a lil clip that went around the base of the window handle, real PITA to remove, but once removed never put back
