dies when applying brakes

my buddy has an mj and he said that when he applies the brakes it sometimes dies. may be a vaccum leak any suggestions

How does it idle? vaccum related more than likely. Leaking intake manifold could be another cause.

Check the condition and connections of the big vacuum tube running to the booster.
