Comanche Roll Bar

Anyone know where I can get a roll bar for my 87 Comanche Sport? I have seen Comanches that have them, but havent been able to find them.

Thanks,
Greyson

I am also in the business of finding a rollbar. This is mostly for my dad to stop pestering me about it. I have kind of a reputation for being a bit on the wild side and pushing the envolope...so i have two questions,

Why is it not that helpful to have a rollbar?

Will this fit...http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...gory_Code=ROLL

I donít think the Rusty bar will fit a Comanche as they are different floor pans than the XJ ..But you could call or email them to find out.
As for the comment on the factory bar not helping, it is designed for show, to look good and was not made of strong thick walled tubing or mounted well enough to provide "much" protection it will offer some in a light roll but not in a violent roll over situation

Most any Roll bar from a small truck should work from simular size truck. Check with your local truck shop. Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10, Toyota, nissan, or mazda compact turck of simular years should all work. Good luck finding what your looking for

Do you guys think there is a difference between the roll bar in the comanche longbeds and the shortbeds? I have an '87 shortbed that I'm fixin up and found one from a longbed in pretty good shape but I don't have a good enough picture to tell if it would switch over.

Between the factory longbed bar and the factory shortbed bar? Yes, absolutely they are different. And they are not interchangeable. But if it's an aftermarket bar, then it should work fine in your truck. The factory bars have their rear downbars bolted to the sloping side of the wheel well. Aftermarket ones will either bolt to the bedfloor or to the top of the wheel well and those bars should work for both long or shortbeds. If it is a factory bar in good shape, I'd grab it if I were you. Plenty of guys over at the comancheclub.com/forums that would buy it from you.

Ok, so I went ahead and grabbed the FACTORY longbed roll bar, but I can't use it. If I can't find a shortbed bar I'm just going to give this one the chop and resize it for a shortbed, BUT if anyone has a shortbed bar or could get one and would be interested in trading please let me know!!!!
