comanche 2wd 4x4 conversion

hello to all this is my first jeep but my 3rd truck and i just wanted to know how difficult it would be to convert my 88 comanche from its stock 2wd to and strong working 4x4 i am very mechanical i've done motor swaps lifed and lowered trucks but what i had in mind was a donor comanche or cherokee because i understand they're pretty much the same along the lines of an s10 and a blazer. the only reason i believe this would be easier than usual is because of the straight front axle on the MJ. anything would be much appreciated thank you and be safe

Everything bolts in. The tricky thing is matching the new stuff to your engine and then the gearing in the axles (making sure they don't suck). Add to that list above a 4wd trans and a shorter rear driveshaft (you can get your current one cut down).

Find out what your current rear axle ratio is and find a front one to match (unless you plan to lift at the same time)
