Hey guys, I'm about to get a 1953 willys pickup truck. I was wondering, since willys was one of the first producers of jeeps, if this would count as a jeep truck? Like a gladiator, or it's predecessor..? If not, that's cool, but if it is I'm glad I found one. Thanks! Happy New Years !

Is it a CJ or MB? Willys classify as jeeps. The Jeep name has gone thru several owners since the 40s.

No it's not a CJ designation from what I can tell. It's a Willys flatbed truck with wooden slats for the sides. Is MB the designation for the military version of things in the Willys history? Sorry, please forgive my ignorance. I'm usually on the TJ wrangler forum, but I want to have a project and get to know the history of the jeep and the company. As well as have something to do stupid highschool kid things with
