Short answer , yes.

Long answer , not without some grinding and welding.

I did mine , drill a couple of spot welds , a bit of grinding , some prying and light beating will get the brackets off the Comanche bench seat , repeat procedure to get the brackets off the Cherokee bucket seats , then weld the Comanche brackets on to the Cherokee seats.
Measure and study the location of the bracket positions first.

Not difficult at all.

Hmm I've never welded, so they are not bolted in? I may have to think about this.

You have to re-use the MJ floor brackets. Also, only 2-door XJ seats will tilt forward. Also, the curved-rocking XJ seats will end up being a couple inches higher. Also, the power seats are practically a lost cause.
Jeep on!

I've always seen a lot of threads about XJ seats in an MJ, and discussion about having to modify the XJ brackets a little etc. So, is it possible to simply bolt an XJ seat on to an MJ seat bracket and you're done? Like everybody else, my driver side seat is torn as are most of the JY seats out there, so I think I've found some XJ pass seats in good shape. I was hoping to get one of those and simply bolt it to my driver side seat bracket. Other than my tilt levers being on the inside of the seat, are there any other issues to know about, assuming this all can be done w/out much hassle? Thanks for any help.
