BRAKE LIGHTS! Please help

Okay I just swaped a high-output engine from a 94 cherokee into my 90 comanche and Im having trouble finding the wire for the brake lights on the body harness. According to Alldata it is supposed to be pin 5 on the gray main body connector but none of the wire colors match, and touching the correct sender wire from the cherokee's harness to that pin does... nothing. Ive tried touching it to every pin in that connector and still nothing, Im pretty sure that connector is for the overhead lights and other non important things. The flat black connector which includes the fuel pump and turn signals/parking lights is already wired up correctly and if I try to include the brake wire on the turn signal circuit it will work but once the turn signal is switched on that light will instead do nothing. Sooo somewhere is the correct wire, or There is something else thats wrong, Any thoughts or input would be helpful.

brake lights should be easy...constant power from the fuse block to the brake pedal switch then out to the lights... signals work off the ignition switch powering the fuse block then through the signal arm/switch assembly then out to the lights, park lights constant power to light switch then out to the lights..

you'll be playing abit, amc 88 to chrysler 94..
