Beginning (re-beginning) 88 Comanche build
Ive been working on this for a bit. It is an 88, 4WD, 6CYL, 5SPD, short bed. I (last week) installed a 3" lift and wasn't too impressed with it. I have torn it all back apart and am gonna do a 4.5". I question is, I have the stuff to do a shackle/AAL rear suspenision lift but I also have the knowledge and ability to do a SOA. I'm looking for opinions, knowledge, etc. I'm an indecisive person and looking for a little help. Thanks

he is tryin to be a smart *** and say he wants some pictures. If you have the ability to do the SOA then go that way and see what its nets height wise and go from there. I dont have much expirence with jeeps yet but understand alot. From what I have read AAL's are not top choice. People complain of harsh ride, They do not work well if your rear leafs are sagging, and they start to sag pretty quickly if your a constant hard wheeler. Mind you this is only what I have read but have read multiple time in various places.

Going SOA on the back will lift it about 6".
just found that little snip it from another build thread. not sure if its correct but a general idea. |

yup SOA nets anywhere from 5-6" depending on perches, springs, axle used.
