Previous owner installed a make shift power steering bracket and it just vibrates somethings bad. The jeep is an 86 2.5L (4 cyl), manual with no AC.

I went to a local jeep junk yard and we found that it looks like the bracket is the same for both the 4 and 6 cyl engine. So I bought the bracket for the 6 cyl engine. Installs and aligns with all the bolt holes. Seems like a perfect fit (driver side). Now for the pump itself. I tried putting in a power steering pump from a 87 6 cyl and it fits the bracket - of course i would.

Now a resourvor or a remote resoorvor - now since I have nothing could I use the pump with the resouvor.

Or will any of this really work.
