I'm about to do it. you would need,
front axel,
drive shaft,
transfer case,
and possibly a transmission....
I wouldn't do it unless you changing nearly the whole drive train then I wouldn't have decided to do it,,, but I'm changing it all...hahaha

cheapest way find you a MJ 4x4 donor truck, other wise you're stuck finding parts that fit or making them fit lol

What you need depends on what you want to use the truck for afterwards. It's a bolt-in affair if you stick with MJ/XJ parts

I am looking at just buing a cherokee with a 4 cylinder. swaping everything underneath. except for the engine and trans. I will have to find a good trans and tranfercase to go under from somewhere else.

Reason for the 4 cylinder cherokee it has the right axles and gear ratios for what I want. but you have to look to make sure what it has.....

I'm just finishing up my 4x4 conv. you will need a 4x4 trans, transfer case, axles and drive shafts, yours will just be longer than mine. I just bearly made the speedo cable fit so i have to lengthen wires. I have vac disco so I've been dealing with that. Get a parts jeep and swap parts
