The main issue with all of them that I've seen was that the rear doors looked bastardized. They ended up trying to square the doors off keeping the angled windows. What might work is if you basically take the back half of the Comanche and add it to right behind the rear doors of the Cherokee. You will need to beef up the frame rails though since that'll be the weaker Cherokee rails going back to that point. Definitely gusset in around where you merge the frame rails, maybe even think about adding like stiffeners to the outside of the rails (kinda like unibody reinforcements). This thing will fold like a taco if you don't.
The doors will be the very first thing we will tackle! We will splice doors or custom make one and if we can not get it to look factory we will scrap the idea. We will have custom glass made so that all windows operate as normal. This will not be our first time customizing a truck so it will never fold like a Taco. Stiffeners will be added everywhere as well. Thanks for the door ideas!! Cheers

Nice...

I have built a Few 97+ convertion MJ's and am currently in the start of my next 99 Convertion and I have plans for the next one after this MJ to be a Cab and a Half Short box... I as well have yet to see a natural looking 4 door MJ so I hope yours works out well...

I look forward to seeing it...

First set back of the project. The Cherokee is still sitting in Rhode Island. We also might have come up with a door solution. I'll post more as soon as the Cherokee arrives.

While we are waiting on Cherokee to get here my father stripped the Comanche. He removed the bed(we can start prepping bed for paint) and removed all the interior minus the dash. I forgot to take pics but my sister is going to send me some shortly and I'll post them up asap. I think we are going with Mango Tango paint color on this project(what do you all think?) I also have another question for you all, my cab vents on exterior cab corners are trashed and having a hard time locating some good ones. So should I continue my search for some good ones or fill the holes in with new metal and paint? Here is a pic of mango tango

Nice you are almost exactly where I am except I do not have my Bed off yet and your choice in Colour is my exact colour choice so there will be another Mango Tango MJ running around... Mine will have Black interior...

That's actually very good to hear on the doors. I wasn't trying to insult you or anything, just was pointing out issues with previous attempts I've seen (believe it or not, I've seen a few where the gussets were afterthoughts). I will be definitely following this build.

Ha ha is right but Air conditioned seats now that is interesting as the Donor I have has heated seats but I never gave it any though to figure out how to make them air conditioned too...

Very nice MJ!! I found a company(Champion) that sells a kit but seats have to be perforated. Since I'm recovering seats anyway I might as well go all out and add a/c seats with heat as well

Who makes that front bumper?

Picked up leather seats and center console with heated seat switches from the JY today. Also prepped bed for media blasting tomorrow. Still waiting on Cherokee to arrive, I've never shipped a Jeep before but dang it's taking forever. Pics to come tomorrow
