zj climate control isue

Hey guys. Driving my zj to work and using the heat. Put it on face and it worked for a while then went to defrost. It happened once before a few weeks ago and it started working again after switching it between defrost and face a few times. Its been working fine I thought it was a fluke. I know on my dad's tj he had the actuator arm broke but this one started working again after mesdibf with it. If it was the arm it would be stuck on defrost right?

Were you accelerating when this happened? Could be a small vacuum leak

yes, both times I have been driving down the road at either 60 or 70. Where would I go about checking for one at for the climate control?

Under the battery tray there is a vacuum box. Sometimes the vacuum lines crack with age and cause the air to blow through the defrost vents. Start with the vacuum line under the battery and follow it back toward the firewall, it might be as simple as a loose connection or T fitting. I currently have the same issue with my zj but it hasn't gotten to bad where it's bothering me enough to fix it.

You can also take a look under the passenger side on the inside there should be little red green and yellow hoses all clipped together. Make sure those are tight.

Edit: you're welcome. If you need any other info on it search. Zj defrost vacuum
