Sorry it took a while to get this on here. These are my old wheels I gave to a friend. I just tapped off the "Jeep" and painted the center caps

Quick Cheap Intake Mod

I never like the position of the air box in my XJ. Way too often it was covered in water marks and the front get doused.

So I found a wrangler 4.0 intake tube and purchased a cone filter. I then removed the stock air box and tube, replacing it with the wrangler tube and turning it over the engine into the passenger side.

I got it where I wanted it and cut the end off. Then simply installed the cone filter on the end. I did end up cutting some of the end by the intake down to lower the whole thing away from the hood.

Thus my intake is now back up by the firewall in the space on the passenger side of the engine and a good bit safer from flooding. It has also improved the power and gas mileage also. I believe I spent 8 bucks on the tube at pullapart, 30 on the cone filter and 10 for connectors/spacers when I trimmed and dropped the tube on the intake end.
