Miniwriteup: Newer style shift bezels for renix rigs. If you have the shift bezel with a straight sheet of thin plastic like both of mine came with, you probably hate it. Mine both cracked and got really ugly, and just swapping one from a new rig didn't quite work. New ones protrude forward more and make a nasty CRACK noise whenever you shift into park. Simple solution.

Pop off the handle (be careful). Pop off the bezel. Loosen the screw in the small green circle to give you some room to work. Cut the chunk of plastic in the big green circle. I cut it out completely, but you could probably get away with only a half inch or so of trimming.

Bam, Newer style shift bezel works great now. Get one from a 96, they look rad.

fin.

Next up painted the front and rear diffs. whats needed 2 cans spray on truck bed liner (duplicolor) and cherry red engine spray paint.

My new 4 wheel drive handle. cut off the old rubber handle heated the metal, straightend it. and then cut it off where the metal rod was round. used my tap and die set. spent 40 bucks to buy the handle and its as good as new.

and last for now my LED cluster and instrument lights. cost 24 dollars for all the lights.

if you want any info on what i did pm me!
Love the LED gauge lights.....where'd you get them from? These are actually on my list of cheap mods..along with white gauge face overlays and a chrome gauge bezel...thanks for your time

Mad props to all of the stuff yall have done to your jeeps. I just returned from Iraq about 2 weeks ago and i traded my 2002 Dodge Durango R/T 5.9 for a 1987 jeep GC Limited and some cash.. I want to lift this thing up about 3 inches maybe more, And get some good 32" tires... Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance guys!

I'll only give you suggestions if you never refer to a XJ Cherokee as a Grand Cherokee (ZJ) again

1995 XJ Cherokee Sport
4.5" Homebrew Lift, 4.0L HO I-6, AX-15, NP231, D30(Open)/C8.25(Locked)
33x12.5 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Tires, 309,000 mi and runnin' strong
