Anything pre 96 wont throw a code. A high flow cat wont restring and will help the sound of your exhaust. I ran no car with a flowmaster, magnaflow, glasspack, and gibson. I didnt like any of them, got way to raspy honda ish up top. Put a high flow magnaflow cat on and it sounds much better. A little quieter, smells much better, no loss of power, and no rasp up top anymore.

These are mostly cheap junkyard fixes you can use to upgrade an xj cherokee. Read the first post.

I was actually talking about an older post, the one with the oil catcher coming from the top of your valve cover. I thought the question would be directed toward the poster but it added it to the very end of the threads.

Yea when you reply it always goes to the end. In the future you can use the "quote" feature and that will repost the original question along with your follow up question. Welcome to the forum!

anyone with a soldering iron and the understanding of electricity can do it.

underdash lights: 2 hours
gauge cluster lights: 4 hours
center console gearshift lights: 2 hours
dome lights: forgot, probably about 3 hours
tailgate light: long time mainly because i had trouble trying to feed wires through the tailgate.

10 being most difficult and 1 being really easy; i would say about a 4 or a 5

You spent that long on lights? LED strips tied into the oem under dash light wiring, 15 mins, replacing the dash bulbs with replacement led bulbs, 30 mins, replcing the bulbs in the shifter and t-case lever with LED bulbs 2 mins if that. Done!

The 12v plug in led modules more expensive than plain red leds. Some people have more spare time than spare money. The result is good, so who cares.

Ah i dont have spare $ lol i did my OEM radio and all my oem switches the same way you did. Soldered all blue LED bulbs in place of the swist in ones. Did that because i had no choice. I know on the older XJ the bulbs were tiny so i guess thats why you did it that way. On my 98 zj everything in the cluster and shift plates are 194 bulbs. Just replaced them with new LED 194 bulbs and called it a day.

For all of those who ripped their annoying sagging headliners down and lost their interior light on the way. Here is something I just did.

well the pic i post doesnt work so if anyone is really interested i can grab pics

The one i purchased is made by autocraft has 48 LEDS! and mounts with three magnets(stong enough to hold when i started banging on the roof from the other side and if they dont hold in the future ill add some sticky tape or something)

runs on 3AA batteries and only costs 10 bones at advance autoparts

Its super bright lights up full passenger area and if needed can be grabbed for underhood repair or other repairs

for those who will say it will become a projectile in an accident it weights less then a cellphone and the shoe in my backseat will do more damage(not to mention the trailer hitch in my trunk
