Lol sure but when we trade axles, make sure you've picked up some d44s first and bring those instead

I dont know if anyone said this, but fill up your tanks in the morning. The pumps messure in volumetrics, so the gas will be more dense in the morning when its cooler and you will get more out of it.

This was discussed on Car Talk a couple of weeks ago. The fellas debated for a while (as they do) but decided that since the tanks at the stations are underground, and the earth maintains an almost constant temperature at that depth, then the volume of gas wouldn't vary to a measurable degree throughout the day.

FWIW,
Adam

Common misconception.

Bottom line is the slower an engine turns at a given speed, the better - that's why almost every vehicle has an overdrive transmission. Also, bigger tires mean lower RPM, so it's almost like overdriving.

The pitfall is if the engine does not make enough power at that RPM to comfortably push the vehicle at the current speed - which leads to constantly kicking down the transmission, etc. which is hard on everything and kills gas mileage.

Didn't mean to call you out, but everyone says it as if it's a total given.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - yeah, wuts the point of having a Jeep if yer gonna keep yer windows closed and top up? An old girlfriend did the same thing and I constantly shamed her for it - that said, there is CERTAINLY something to be said for having A/C, especially if you have to wear a shirt and tie everyday...
