i used black bumper paint i bought at auto parts store been 2 years look like new

yea definitely dont use shoe polish!

there are plenty of companies offering plastic spray paint.. rustoleum painters touch works for me

or ill 2nd the bedliner comment

I use Black leather dye... The problem is that it's so good that if a drop gets on your paint it wont come off.
I got a drop on our white cook stove and it would not even come off the slippry white enamel paint.
