yes, though doing so could disable the airbag. since they are armed when you put that belt on. Again not absolutely sure on 10.
I know on a 12 the sound comes through the radio speakers. That was mandated by law i believe.
I did this to ours years ago. But I dont have airbags in my Jeep as well and use a harness and different seats as well. Getting the belt warning to go off, dash light and sound was rather simple. On the seat belt latch the wire that goes to the harness. disconnect it then use a small bit of wire to jump the connection at the harness. The system is looking for a open or closed circuit. open means belt off closed means belt is on.
