Red Factory Radio Lighting Sharpie Mod

Needed?
1 Small philips head screwdriver
1 med size philips head screwdriver
1 flat head screwdriver
1 Red Sharpie Marker

I did this on my 2003 WJ Laredo, but many jeeps share the same radio. BEWARE! If you are not extremely delicate, you can crack a solder joint behind a bulb like I did.. I now have to replace the radio for $24. Not bad, but still it isn't pleasent to do that... Anyway, just take the face plate off the radio if you want to try it, remove the bass and treble button pieces first along with the volume button. Then slide the faceplate off after popping out some tabs around it and removing 8 screws. 4 holding the radio to the dash and 4 holding the faceplate to the radio. Do this at your own risk though, I am not trying it on my new radio. Just putting this out there for those who are not afraid of the mod. It really does remind me of my old Grand Am GT. The monsoon headunit had this shade of lighting.
