I did the interior with dupli color and it turned out ok. I recently repaired the dash in my Silverado and used SEM paint and this is by far the best paint to use. Color looks oem and the paint has flex additive already in it along with uv protection. Needless to say I will be redoing the tj interior with SEM.

Has anyone used the paint they had mixed up by an auto parts store on there dash, an if so, how did it hold up to heat and water? And should I prime the parts before I paint them?

Did mine about 3 years ago. Mine was a single stage acrylic from Napa that I had mixed just for this project. I didnt prime but you will want to use a good adhesion promoter.
