Problem removing door on Wrangler
Hey - this is my first post.
I've got a Wrangler 95' Rio Grande 2.5L that I started taking all the basic, chassis-related detachables off of yesterday (tailgate, doors, rear seat, etc.). Passenger-side door (2D) bolt has a securing nut which is seems to be off the threading keeping the simple assembly together (can't detach door). If it helps, it rotates convincingly (not too loose, not apparently overtightened to damage threading) but stays stationary.
1) Lubricating then working with crescent and universal wrenches;
2) Stabilizing tip of bolt with pliers and while rotating nut manually; and
3) Gripping nut with channel-lock pliers perpendicular to ground and applying varying degrees of force to try for traction with the healthy threading exposed.
Obviously I'm missing something simple. Ideas on this pretty fundamental block I'm hung up on?
Attached a picture of the hinge assembly on the door I got off for perspective. Any pointers, fundamentals, tips, tricks, or blunt tutorials appreciated.
