Only starts with a jump

Replaced the battery same thing, turn key to on there is a delay then I get power try to start and it goes dead...any ideas?

Starter? Ignition switch?

Do you have total power loss or do the lights/ etc still work when you turn the key. I had problems with this as well, and i could only start mine in neutral. Some details on the jeep would help.
