I put a set of mounts on the seatbelt strap bolts in my Tuffy console. Secure so it wont get stolen and it also light up the inside of my console Still plenty of room too.

My solution isn't quite so refined... uh, where the hell is it, anyway?

Well, when I find it, it will be tossed in the console with that other stuff....

Did you tap screws into the frame or is it attached by a magnet?

Uses an existing bolt. Its the 2xAA version.

I prefer Pelican Lights. Explosion proof lighting is required for work, and these are the best I've used.

I don't know if this has been said but I'm thinking under the dash right along that metal strip. Just gotta find a spot where it won't hit my knees and won't be too visible.

I have the maglite clips mounted next to the driver's seat.

When I was in the police academy, someone asked the lieutenant about using an ASP baton to defend yourself, and the lieutenant responded, "Do yourself a favor: forget you have that baton. Go buy yourself a 6 D-cell Maglite and just use that as a whoopin' stick. See, you pull a baton on someone? That's an escalation of force. You thump somebody with a flashlight? Well, that's just a flashlight."

So, I in my Jeep I carry the 6 cell next to the seat, a 4 D-cell in the cubby in the back, and a small LED flashlight in the glovebox. Never know when you have to thump someone with "just a flashlight".
