for what purpose. on the front so park next to the water or tote them around? if up front then pvc would work perfect and cery cheap. just drill and bolt.

drill a hole through the pvc and either bolt it to the bumper or run the bolt through from the back side of the bumper then use a nut to fasten it. then you could use a wing nut and have them removeable. or just make a rack for 2 or 3 and make a bracket so you can have 2 bolts that hold it on and just remove the whole thing when not needed.

I am currently working on a CHEAP fishing rod holder mod as we speak. I purchased two $2.88 white fishing rod holders from Wal-Mart. I spray painted them black with some Krylon Fusion (satin), while I was spray-painting my headlight bezels.
My plan is to mount these rod holders on each a side of the spare tire on the rear bumper. I have bought the 1/4" hex bolts which are 4.5" long. I assume, I'll just affix a piece of wood (with holes drilled) between the Jeep and the rear bumper and tighten the nuts on the bolts and Wallah! Of course, I will take pictures once I am through and post them here. But ultimately, this will give me two rod holders on the rear bumper of my jeep for around $10 altogether. |

I used 1.5" PVC, a U bolt and a regular bolt.
It held my Rod from Baltimore to the Outer Banks! ![]() I also zip tied one to the rear rollbar so the hook wouldn't fly back and hit me in the face while I was driving: ![]() They won't necessarily help you catch any fish though. This is the only nibble I got the whole week: ![]()
