crap!!!!! I was really loving this idea until I got to this. I too have an 03 and after reading this and double checking mine I cannot use the trays either. But again a GREAT idea

Great idea! I'm going to head down and buy a couple paint trays tomorrow... thanks for the idea

If you have a 2003 or newer, it won't work. The back seats are designed differently, sorry.

No unfortunately. There is a support bar of sorts under the front part of the seat that cuts down on the clearance. Check it out and maybe you could us something else or the smaller paint trays or something. Sorry man.

Thanks for the heads up! Saved me from making a trip to depot for nothing. I'll see what I can figure and and let you know.

Thanks for this wonderful cheap solution. I just picked up a pair of these trays at my local HD. I don't have any carpet in the tub just bed-liner, so I was worried about noise and movement, but a quick trip to Target revealed an answer: for ten bucks I picked up a cheap grey yoga matt. It's big enough that I think I will have enough for under the seat, behind the seat, and lining the trays. I'll post a photo if it all works right. It was half the price of the "trim-to-fit" cargo liner that I was thinking about using, and should cushion much better.

awesome! Glad I could help. just remember that any seats after 2003 won't work because of that weird bar under the seat.

Hopefully, you'll still say that when your cylinder head cracks between the number 3 and 4 cylinders.
