Let there be Interior LIGHT

Ok so My YJ had terrible interior lighting.....scratch that...it had none.
So I wired in some LEDs that can be found at any advance, the come in pre wire sets of four and two sets come in one package. for the rear seat area I used some of those LED push lights for home use, car use, etc. I velcroed these to my roof and attached velcro in other various places so i can move these lights as needed. Enjoy !

Ok so in one of my pics you can see where the diamond plate is on my roof, well I ended up getting some red LED's salvaged from commercial building exit signs, these come in a strip of 8 and only need to have the voltage stepped down to 3.6 volts. I am going to put two strips of these red LEDS on either side of my CB and just make a blackout type map light not that I need it but LEDs are fun to play with

I just did this on my roll bar, except in red. It looks pretty sweet, but not as bright as yours. Nice job!

Yeah i wanted to go red, but they didnt have any in red, so I was just willing to get white just so i could see in my cabin again. its amazing how dark these things get inside at night!

check out a law enforcement supply store, you may be able to find a dome light that are in patrol cars, it has a 2 position switch: position 1 is a regular dome light, position 2 is a red light. I have a different style in my car but here is an example of what I'm talking about.

Well I am away from my jeep right now but I will get some measurements back to you. Basically its just diamond plate riveted to the cross bars on my cage. I then just have a cb bracket screwed into it. It works very well for what i need and acts as a good shelf too

thanks! yeah the cb holder is two bars tying into the windshield hoop for the cage. I'm pretty sure the cage was just one of those "upgraded" sport cages from back in the day. not too confident about it in a rollover but until i can get some more bracing in there I like it.
