WARNING: This modification is only compatible with Jeeps with after-market shock boots, it will work with any color as long as it's purple.

WOW! You must have a 1996 Unicorn Edition Wrangler!

No idea in regards to your original question. I dont often have a chance to work on one of those transmissions.

Bump for an old thread.

We now have a JKU in addition to the YJ. Will this work on the newer chipped keys or only on the older models?

Do I need to get a bigger body lift for my XJ before I do this? I'm afraid my tires might rub..

will it work on a 2001 WJ with the 4.7? Should I do it before or after I replace my exhaust?

I have heard from my friends at school that after preforming this complex and tasking mod that their key was jamming in the ignition and they were unable to remove it. I told them to simply put some high-octane flux capacitor grease on the key. Wrong. After doing that the jeep turned into a prius. Never do what we did. After that mistake, I went and researched the problem. It seems as if using some long-chain poly bicarbonate and berries cereal grindings that the key will be easily removed. Hope I prevented any future problems!

My '96 Wrangler Unscramblered edition is missing the Unicorn horn on the hood. Was that a factory option, or do I need to go aftermarket? Haven't been able to locate one on ebay, craigslist, amazon, or Quadratec. I want the original chrome one too. None of this billet crap you see now a days.
