Hmm... *made in china* 20 years of abuse, I haven't changed my key ring oil in over 80,000 miles. maybe your beefy upgrade is a good thing to consider

Doing this without upgrading your key ring is like going SOA without a SYE...

I'm confused I think I botched up a step in this mod because afterward i found that my Jeep now gets 30MPG rather than 18MPG. Is there any way to decrease fuel efficency without buying another key and starting the whole process over? and yes, i tried changing the key oil already and removed all but one lug on each wheel.

The most critical step everyone is missing is making sure your muffler bearings are properly lubed. All is for naught if they are short of grease.

Sounds to me like who ever dyno-tuned it after you did this mod, didnt do a good job. 30 mpg is way off, you have to tune it to 10-12mpg

PS - as sad as it is ^^^ i dont think that mine would get 30 mpg rolling down a hill in neutral

It's a broken kanibulen pin in your flux capacitor, take your rig off the street immediately

I dont think that you drive a Wrangler my friend. Are you sure that you didnt do this mod on the wrong vehicle?

If not, you are screwed!

It may be stale air in your tires causing the problems. Deflate all tires, add fresh air ASAP and then change every three thousand miles. When I put new tires on the CJ with FRESH air she ran so smooth I thought I had a new motor.

One of the things that I love about this forum is that the "DIYer" and the "Money is no object" Jeepers all get along soo well.

I opted for the "You paid how much for a new key?" replacement..

Hey MUDRFR

NEAT guitar bottle opener. Just the key for a man who has everything.

And you are right, Jeeps bring everyone together.

In fact the older feel younger and the richer feel poorer.
