I know better then leaving valuable in the Jeep but I wanted more protection so I did some improvement on my center console.
I had most of the stuff laying around so it costed around $30 to build.

The top plate is 1/16 Stainless steel and I used a trailer lock. I also did the inside of the console with the same SS plate for more bracing but didn't snap a picture...

Anyway,

These are one set for $26 shipped.

there are many more on that site in different colors or in strips.

Here are the same ones but a bit brighter then the above for $35 or 5 pieces for $11. There are a few other options as well that are priced for less.

Add your own wire and switch and your in business for way less. I have some from the first link. They are VERY bright.

$14 shipped. Just cut and wire for your needs. I did my blue interior led lighting with these and it looks great.

Mounted my hi-lift on my hood. $49.99 for the 48" black hi-lift jack on amazon (normally $63.99 with free super saver shipping, but this one was listed as damaged box on sale), $9 for bolts, washers, nuts at lowes. Had a 40"long piece of 1-1/4" square tubing with plastic end caps in the garage from another project.

Better to be Judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Scored a hi-lift for 40$ on CL, that was only used once. Now I have to find a place to mount it.

Well you could just drill some holes in the seat...

Really though, my best advice to you would be to STAY AWAY from neoprene seat covers, because they don't breathe just like the faux-leather seats do not. That advice comes from personal experience. I don't have any experience with other seat covers, but search the forum and I'm sure you will find some good info! Also, if you can't find what you need by searching, you should try a different sub-forum.

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to the Jeep world!

Where did you get that cargo net? It looks pretty good.

Is that a passenger seat in the back or am I seeing double? Why'd you do that? Looks pretty neat, how hard was it?

Cheap Summer Top

I had and old ripped soft top that came with one of the parts vehicles that I got sot i thought why not make some use of it. The sun beating done on my head was a little much, since the hair use there seems to be a little on the thin side.

So for less than $10 this is what I came up with.

It's one more Jeep part recycled, which is always a good thing. I still have a few more minor adjustments and mods to do to it, like put a stitched seam where the top ripped and different tie downs but it is functional.

If anyone would like details let me know and I will post them up.

Hope everyone out there enjoys their Jeeps and the mods in this nice sunny weather.

I also have a good soft top and hard top, homemade half doors and full doors. Just like the option of having some shade for the balding head.

Yup, I think I posted it it a couple pages back. Or maybe in the YJ section, I dont remember lol

I had an extra seat and sometimes Ill have a friend sitting in the back on the floor so I figured why not mount that. The original back seat was pretty much a one seater for any normal size person anyways so this gave me the ability to carry all my stuff and still seat a third person.

I placed it in the tub where I wanted it, measured out where the holes would have to be drilled and bolted it down. I plan on spacing it up an inch with some square stock so water and dirt could flow under it. And you can still use the lap belt.

In my case, the rear passenger bolt on the seat is right in front of the body mount. If you went behind it there would be a lot more leg room for the person sitting there but less room for my stuff. They should be happy that theyre not sitting on a metal floor anymore
