That color is freekin' sahweet.
Thanks for all comments on color... Candy Lime Gold. Some days it looks green other days in the bright sun it looks yellow.

Rockers were made of 1 3/4 roll cage tubing I picked up at a welding shop. Rhino Lined it for added traction getting into the jeep. No it is not tied to the frame. Bolts are welded to backside of the 1/4" rocker plate, and secured thru rocker panel of the body.

Clean up nicely, but LOVE to get dirty!!

Does anyone sell something like these commercially? All I have found is the ones 3 inches tall. I would really like one waterproof/plastic.

here's a list of things, each of these was done for $100 or less,
1: short throw shifter(home made, bought an extra shifter from the pick-n-pull for $10, and modified it)
2: modular rear storage box(can function as a "insta trunk", or full tonneau style lid for the back seat area)
3: hard top (bought it for $50, + $50 for gas to go pick it up)
4: snorkel
5: side steps
6: winch plate
7: over head console for sterio and CB (later removed it though)
8: swapped in grand AM seats
I'll put pics up later if anyone is interested.

maroon 1987 Grand Wagoneer. stock for now...

This one ain't waterproof, but it is plastic:

http://www.quadratec.com/products/14147_401_07.htm

I had one on my '06 TJ and never had an issue with water - although there is room for water to enter and I don't think it would remain dry overnight with the top down in the rain. Driving from Detroit to Flint Michigan in a fairly heavy rain fall on I75 with the top down I can attest that the gear in the trunk didn't get wet.

Built a swing down tire carrier for my XJ for about $90. Then built an expedition storage and tool box for the rear storage area for about $85.

I don't think I'd brag about that one. You should be using a fuel cell. It may get you to the grocery store. How about you add some tools and crap in the back, roll it a few turns, then have your next of kin tell us how it turned out.

I have seen those Extendatrunk, but I liked the big, deep, pull out drawer on the homemade one. My camper has a plastic one like it just WAY too long.

I saw this one, but way overkill for what I need, http://www.tuffyproducts.com/p-132-0...ty-drawer.aspx

I would like to see some details on the built-in tool box. Looks good.
