What size is yours? I picked up the 6.5" one and it's just extremely small compared to the ammo can. Plus I can't really use the arm rest unless I lean really far back. I'll see if I can get used to it.

Then again that used to be my motto until I got the Jeep, now that doesn't even work half of the time.

I've got the 10" Tuffy center console, but I hear the 8" works a bit better in a CJ for seat and seat belt clearance.

Honestly I have no idea, it's pretty big, can fit all my stuff, cb and wife's purse in it.

What do I measure to check ?

I want to get the tuffy overhead double console too

^^What about fading/paint rubbing off? All it takes is an armorall wipe and mine looks just as good...

Or maybe some of that black trim dye stuff they sell at Autyzone

The Bar is a piece of 2"x2" fence post from the gardening section at Lowes.

It is attached to the windshield frame with three L shaped brackets. Drilled into the frame, attached them then drilled into the bar and attached the bar to the windshield.
The thread in my signature should have a little more information about it all.

Ahhh, yeah that'll do it. I guess paint is so inexpensive you could easily put another coat on if it faded bad

Made this console out of some 1/2" birch wood, a spare piece of black leather and some parts off of an old console I had and then had a buddy spray it with Line-X.

Nice, I am finishing up my ammo can console, all I have to do is weld the hinge on it. I'm thinking I am going to get mine Line-x'd when it is complete.

Is yours actual Line-X or is just the rattle can type? It looks pretty shiny

It's Line-X with what they call XTRA painted on after. It keeps it from fading and makes it real easy to clean!
