I got a free set of band new soft doors a couple months ago :-)

Back to topic.

I reupholstered my 2006 grand prix bucket seats with leather. They were cloth before and a pain to get the mud out of. Cost me 70$ and a lot of sewing :-)

Problem: I got a soft top tj with no center console, bringing my locking storage to a whopping total of glove box.

Solution: Well, my dad has done some amazing stuff with woodworking, and has taught me a lot, so after we spent quite a bit of time with it, I now have a great locking center console and a homemade "instatrunk." The trunk was drastically easier, being as it has no moving parts and we didn't have to fit it over the parking brake. The console also has a power head with 2 cigarette lighter ports and 2 usb ports ran into the dash and spliced into the stock cigarette lighter. And yes, they're strong. Here, check it out.

Thanks guys! I agree on the factory look, I'm really happy with the color of the vinyl and carpet.

Cool, i was going to make a center console, still might not sure yet. I do have two factory consoles though, that i would mod to have cup holders. That might be cool two because i dont need the e brake handle space and i could glass some in. Hmmmm i think i know what im doing tomorrow now

I thought about it, but I forgot to take pictures of the actual process unfortunately. I would like to say it's straightforward, but there's actually quite a few tools involved. I can describe it as well as possible if you'd like
