Home made snorkle
have any of you made a custom snorkle? more into the H1 style snorkel. if u guys know where i can find a write up please post it ive been looking around for one no luck..

I see them on the HMMWV's here in Iraq but the first obstacle I see is the hood. On a HMMWV the hood opens forward and away from the air intake and any snorkel tubing.

I just opened another thread on snorkels and saw the Waggy, take at a look at it further down the page:
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f46/snorkel-no-snorkel-307725/ I don't have a TJ nearby to look but is there room to do it similar to his? You will no longer be able to rest your hood on the windshield.

not sure about the waggy one, but with the one I posted above, if you get the correct size "hat" for the intake, and measure really carefully, you should still be able to put the hood against the windshield. ![]()
