has anyone mounted one in front of the rear seat? that's where i was planning on mounting mine .. it is on order right now, but i want it to be mounted inside, and across the rear wheel wells is not an option as that is where my rear window lays when i zip it out (yeah i know, i would rather roll it up too, but i dont have the little elastic holders, i am not paying 20 bucks each for them and i haven't gotten around to making any .. if anyone has 2 extra ones that they don't need, drop them in an envelope and mail them to me, lol). so yeah, if it fits, i think i am going to go for in front of the rear seat...

1st post but did mine a little different, mounted it upside down on swing-a-way carrier putting 2 bolts thru upright picked up 2 t-handle nuts for easy removal and yes i keep it lubed and a can of nut buster incase i forget.
Wanted to keep it out of the weather and out of the way as much as possible. I forget the name of the company that makes the universal mounting brackets I attached to.

Here's mine... Cut an angled slot in the front down of roll bar and welded a flat shelf with a 3/8 bolt sticking out. Then welded the standard hi-lift security hinge on the back of the roll bar. The base of the jack is resting on a rubber pad on the metal above the tail light. It has worked well so far, secure and quite. Check it out...
so many people have it right behind the rear seat, but that's where my top sits when i put it down. do you guys take the top all the way off, always keep it on, or what?
ps, mine is right now sitting on the floor in the back. I drive, so my roommates don;t complain.
I imitated Flipper1's method today. It took longer than planned, but worked out pretty well. Only problem: I need a hood prop now because I can't quite get the hood back all the way to the windshield frame, no matter how I put the jack on.
Still: awesome to get it out of the tub.
Edit: now that I have half inch holes in the hood, I realize that my hood mount setup blocks the windshield sprayers, a must-have in Ohio. Damn. Guess I'm going to hope I get into welding class so I can make a mount to put it on my stupid tire carrier that has rounded tube for the swingout part...
