Getting rid of Chrome

The last part of chrome on my TJ was the headlight Bezels. I hated looking at my Jeep and seeing that chrome. So for $6 I fixed it. I went to Walmart and got some of the spray on bedliner in a can. 6 screws to take off the bezels and 30 minutes later, I have 0 chrome on my Jeep. I think it looks a lot better. I hate chrome on any car. Its a good cheap mod. Ben

I'm doing the same thing to the brackets, hood set, windshield brackets, door hinges, etc. I like the look and the texture.

Wow, imagine that, Bulkinator not posting a pic POST A PIC. Or does this thread have to go 17 pages like girl woes?

I used just regular flat black spray paint for mine, but that's because I didn't know about the spray on bedlineer in a can. I have that same stuff. Duplicolor is what mine is called. I also duplicolored (the roll on though) the front grill of mine so I had to paint the bezels as well. But since I can't post pics yet, I can't put a pic of mine up.

here's one of just the bezels painted black and me testing my mad phlex yo

And here is one of the whole front end done

Way to go Ben! The only thing that chrome belongs on is big shiny fire trucks!

Just watch what you're saying; the last thing I personally would want to do is offend fellow Jeep owners.
