That was my first "upgrade" Got some on eBay for like $30 shipped. I've only had the TJ less than 2 months, so who knows what's next.

OEM Style LED Taillights

Direct replacement LED tail lights they cost about $70. Easiest way to get a great look and better functionality without having to cut into the body or lose your DOT compliance. I bought these about a year ago and I have been in the mud, the sand, the hills, just about everywhere and not one single problem. I live in the same city as the guy who sells them so i got to see his parts warehouse and discuss the manufacturing process. This guy put a lot of effort into these and it payed off because these really are a great product with easy installation. They come with all of the hardware and stuff needed for the installation minus the screwdriver and socket set. All in all a cheap way to upgrade your Jeep and change the look a little.

Another thing I might suggest is to flip your rearview mirror upside down. The switch tab will be on top. This will give you a better view out the front windshield.

I also have my driver's side mirror arm adjusted all the way forward, placing the mirror closer to the door and giving me a little better angle. Also tucks the mirror in and further away from trail damage. The downside is a slightly larger blind spot when coupled with windshield mounted KC's...trick is to look before you leap as they say.

I do not have this mod on my present Jeep but have done it on other Jeeps. I did not see what the tanks I installed came out of, but it was a Pick and Pull that they came from. If I recall, the CJ7 tub is pretty similar to the YJ tub, so I'd imagine it's possible. I remember seeing threads on this a heck of a long time ago. Use the search box in the upper left hand corner of Jeepforum.com to search for those keywords.

Lock it! You can get a front aussie locker for under $250 and it will double your offroad capabilities, that was the best mod ive done. Aside from that I would say skid plates will save you more money in the future but you sound like you want mods you can see. In wich case keep an eye on craigslist and see what pops up on the cheap.

Looks good where did you get that from?

Those xenon flares are reasonably priced. Go out and price out a set of tube fenders then proceed to weep

Oops. Sorry. I haven't been on this thread in a long time. Looks like it's being revived though. Anyway, I believe I got that light from Tractor Supply.

First cheap thing I bought for my TJ was a $20 hooker to help me test the suspension. About the same as spring compressors, but more fun.
