did you break your shifter knob off your shifter

This has happened to me twice(2 jeeps)
must know how to weld or know someone who does.
first off grind the shifter down flat then get a 3/8 16 thread 1 and a half inch bolt, cut the head off the bolt and weld it the the shifter.
throw a little paint on it and screw your knob back on and your good to go.

note: be sure to disconnect your battery and distributor before welding.

Thats a pretty good idea!!

What i did with mine is grind enough around the lever to jam a fitting that came with the Hurst "T" shifter on. I put some JB weld on the inside of the fitting and then tapped it on the lever and let it dry overnight. Then all i had to do was screw on the handle. It is REALLY solid!!
