Cheep/Free performance upgrades

What are some cheep/free upgrades I can do for the 4.0 jeep? Example Engine, Air cleaner, airbox.

Maybe keep it stock... But then you bought a JEEP (Just Empty Every Pocket) so it will get lousy gas mileage and is like driving a brick on wheels, stock or not. That is the price you pay for owning a jeep!!!

You will love it when you have the top and doors off!!! Wait, that might cause more drag which would lower your MPG. So I really do not think you can do anything... Sorry.

PS - Not trying to flame you, jeeps are $$$. But no other vehicle compares!!!!

theres really nothing CHEAP to do other than cutting off your cat and muffler, and that is just annoying.

there is nothing under 250 bucks that will add ANY power, and if it does, it will be at the a$$ end of the rpm range where you will never notice it- DAVE

If you're tall, you can flip your rear-view mirror so it doesn't block your view through the windshield.

Theres really not much as other guys have stated. You can upgrade spark plugs, air filter, wires...stuff like that. But its not gonna save on gas and or give u alot better performance.

Best upgrade?

Duck tape a brick to the floor under the gas pedal. That way it only can be pressed down an inch.

You just stepped in the biggest flame pit with that question. No short no BS answer is NOTHING. Sorry jeep aren't like other cars that little stuff you mentioned doesn't exist for us. The best milage and performance you will ever get is when you drive it off the lot and throw away the check book and credit cards so you don't upgrade.

If you want to spend thousands than you can fored induction and thats a different topic.

Edit: Oh sorry saw it was your first post. Congrats on the Jeep and welcome to the forum. Were not always like this well most of us.
