Depends what you're looking for and what you consider cheap. One of my favorite low cost "mods" I've done so far was coating my frame! Only took me about 2 can of the stuff (i believe it was about $12 a can) and the stuff is great! Holds up awesome and looks so clean and I even have 90% of the second can to use as I please! The biggest cost though was in the time. My frame had 0 rust in it, but the "paint" the PO had on it was garbage and looked awful. So I took an electric wire wheel to the entire frame and grinder it all down to bare metal, rubbed it down with acetone to really clean it off and then sprayed it. Took forever but it was done right and next time i won't have to do all that. Trust me, if you live in the northern half of the country, your jeep will thank you. Especially with all the crap they put on the roads anymore. But I'm done ranting. If I think of anything else ill let you know!

OK. $250 is decent number to work with. But before you spend any money do this: flip the rear view mirror upside down and improve visibility out the windshield - won't cost you a penny.

As far as accessories go and where to spend that money - How do you use the Jeep? Daily driver? Weekend warrior? Is there anything that seems like it is lacking for how you use the Jeep? Functionality? Security? Comfort? Bling? What?

There's a crap ton of things that you can buy for a YJ that cost less than $250. What's useful for one person, is worthless to another. It'll be more efficient use of our time and your money if you kind of have an idea of what you want/need, so we can suggest inexpensive options that meet those wants/needs.

If you have no clue at the moment, you can browse here: http://www.quadratec.com/ for ideas, or choose from the companies found here: Jeep parts. I'm certain you'll find inspiration

$250 and under? For cosmetic changes:

- Address any rusting, then paint body as outlined in the YT video "how to paint your vehicle with Rustoleum, the right way". JeepForum posters also report success with marine paint for the body.

- Spray floor with Monsterliner or RaptorLiner

- Clean and spray hard top with Monster or Raptorliner (can't vouch for this yet)

- Wipe both sides of all plastic light lens covers with a plastic polish product, to improve light clarity and visibility

- Get a better center console.

- Get to know your friendly local Jeep salvagers

- Spray, but do not wipe, a tire shine product onto tires periodically

- Use a top rated car polish
