Cant get hood open

Can't get my hood to open on my 94 xj any ideas how to get it open?

Theres a trick, if you take the headlights out, theres two screws that hold the part that holds the hood down on, and you can remove them which should release the hood and you can then open it like you normally would once you pop it.

Or if you have skinny arms, reach your hand up between the motor and radiator, and unlatch it right there in the middle. Happened to me when the cable came unlatched up underneath the hood.

To you hear the 'Klick' when you are trying to open?
Try to ask someone to pull the hood while you are trying to open

Pound on the hood right above the catch while someone else pulls the release back and forth. 9 times out of 10 this will work.

got it open I grabbed the cable and pulled and it popped open. The plastic cable holders aren't holding cable

A little lube on those latches goes along way. Spray them each oil change with spray lube and you shouldn't have an issue
