If I had taken out my back seat this time, I would have had my pizza for dinner that night ( pizza flew out from a bump in puddle) :-(

Good god that is a lot of weight hanging off the spare tire carrier. This is two weeks worth of camping gear.

my '66 cj5a is currently undergoing an engine swap. along with that, for camping and travel purposes, i'm putting in an 18 gal poly gas tank from a boat. this is in addition to the 12 gal tank under my drivers seat. my trips tend to be rather long, so additional gasoline capacity is a must.
i'm also building up a small boat trailer for carrying the bulk of my camping equipment. taller tires, stake bed sides, and a lunette eye to match up to my jeep pintle hitch are being done to it.

Two 1.5"x close black iron nipples welded to a flat plate. The rod clamps are just some flexible copper pipe tie downs from Home Depot that are one sided.

so, are there any camping mods out there??
Why don't you just go get a small generator?

Speaking of camping mods and remote power, does anyone bring solar panels? I have three of the 75w three panel kits from HF, plus a 4500w inverter that I had hooked up to a group of deep cycle batteries in my workshop back in Florida. Since I moved and didn't want to leave them behind, they are now in a crate in my garage collecting no sun. I was thinking of a small slide out rack beneath a rooftop cargo rack, rubber mounted to resist shock on the glass. Could get away with a much smaller inverter and a single battery in the cargo area. Three panels side by side are about 3' x 3'. Seems like if you could find a clearing for stargazing, you could set up for power generation during the day. No need to run your engine or run dual optimas.

Love the awning with the light set up. Do you have ARB tent that goes on rack too?

Gotta have the bottle opener on the tailgate. I've broken one too many bottles using my door striker camping.
