Thanks! It's just your standard 30-30 Marlin lever action. It was a gift from my dad when I turned 12 as a deer rifle. (I see you're from Philly, I'm from Bloomsburg PA) I've since removed the scope and use the rifle only for camping security. I'll have to figure out another way to mount it now since I have a custom cage and there's a bar now taking that real estate.

so, are there any camping mods out there??
I have an AutoCraft Gold battery in my tj with aftermarket stereo and speakers, 800 watt amp for 12" subwoofer and i have run all of that 8 hours straight before without a single start, ive also left my headlights on for 5 hours on accident before, no battery problems either time, just my 2 cents.

I'm going to add a basket mount like that. I really think I need one!!!

Here's my cheap fishing pole holder. Cost was a couple bucks if I didn't have the materials already sitting around.

Amazing ideas and tricks, I got from the above posts. I'm fond of camping and usually spend my weekend in Northern mountains of Virginia. I like to adopt more and more camping tricks to make it more enjoyable.

i used fist clamps and long zip ties to either side of the interior overhead lights on my 07 JK to hold a surfcast rod/reel and my paddleboard paddle. 2 fist clamps also on the inside of the rear hatch door for my shovel

I used to camp light. A sleeping bag, a thin mat, tooth brush and tooth paste and MREs and a change of clothes. If it didn’t all fit (except water) in my a couple smaller stuff sacks I didn’t take it. Know I camp in a trailer. I just ordered one like this, my 3rd camper in 5 years:

If I do tent camp now, I end up packed like this:

I take a go-kart, generator, cooler, tent, cots etc.
