3rd Brake Light Mod

After seeing a friends jeep with the 3rd brake light in the center of their spare tire, my "Mad Mod" little brain started thinking....I can do this!....And I did! Of course, this little project should have taken less than an hour (according to my tech support) to complete but I like to do things the difficult way. It only took 3 nights in the garage.....looking, thinking, trying to stick my hand in places I couldn't see, feeling for wires, greasing up my hand and arm with vaseline so I could reach the wires i needed. YES, I could have cut/spliced the wires at the back of the tailgate where the factory 3rd brake light wiring was, but I wanted it to look pretty. So I spliced the wires, once I established which wires it was, behind the tail light on the passenger side and routed them out the bottom of the Jeep below the tail light and along the tubing of the spare tire carrier. This cool looking little mod cost me less than $20.00.
